The Walk to Stöttlalm
The journey starts at the Obermieming parking lot, from where it’s just about a 30-minute walk to reach Stöttlalm. The path is easy, gently winding through open meadows along a well-maintained gravel road. It’s not strenuous at all, which means you have plenty of breath left for relaxed conversation—and plenty of time to soak in the calm that this landscape effortlessly offers.
As you walk, the majestic Judenkopf mountain looms ahead—a tempting sight for any mountain lover, though today our goal is far more leisurely.
Arrival at Stöttlalm: Nature and Elegance
As we approach Stöttlalm, the first thing that catches the eye is the small lake below the hut, complete with a wooden jetty and grassy banks all around. This spot is a highlight in itself: a picture-perfect setting where many visitors stop to take photos that will become cherished memories.
Stöttlalm is a unique place. It’s part of the exclusive Alpenresort Schwarz and overlooks a stunning 27-hole golf course. When you arrive, you’ll typically be greeted by a receptionist who will guide you to your table. At times, there might be a short wait, but trust me—it’s worth every minute.
Culinary Excellence in an Alpine Setting
The menu here is impressive, offering everything from hearty breakfasts and brunches to classic Tyrolean dishes and exquisite desserts. On this visit, we indulged in some traditional Tyrolean cuisine, paired with a fine wine, and finished with a delicious homemade dessert.
One of the most striking features of Stöttlalm is the exceptional service. The staff’s attention to detail and genuine hospitality make you feel thoroughly looked after—like guests at a five-star resort, yet surrounded by the serenity of nature.
